Ford gives Bronco owners plenty of engine options for outstanding power and performance. Engines are mated with a standard 7-speed manual transmission or an available 10-speed automatic transmission. They include:

• A 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder delivering 300 horsepower as the base engine option;
• An optional twin-turbo 2.7-liter V-6 generating 330 horsepower (available as standard on Outer Banks and Heritage Edition trims)

While the Wrangler has an extra, more powerful option in its diesel engine—its non-diesel engines don’t quite match the power of Ford’s offerings. The Wrangler’s engine options include:

• A standard 3.6-Liter Pentastar V6 (285 horsepower and 260 lb.-ft. of torque) paired with a 6-speed manual transmission;
• An available turbocharged 2.0-Liter Hurricane 4 I4 (270 horsepower and 295 lb.-ft. of torque) paired with 8-speed automatic transmission; and,
• An optional 6.4-Liter HEMI V8 horsepower and 470 lb.-ft. of torque) paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Ford gave the Bronco a few tweaks for 2025 Ford added the colors Shelter Green and Velocity Blue and four 17-inch wheel options. The Badlands trim received a heavy modular front bumper, while the Raptor trim added a Code Orange appearance package. Should you want more of a 70s vibe, consider the Free Wheeling appearance package with 1970s-inspired stripes.

A newly standard 12.0-inch infotainment touchscreen was added—it features Ford's highly-regarded SYNC user interface with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. Wi-Fi hotspot is available with a subscription. Built-in navigation and a Bang and Olufsen audio system are optional.

The Jeep Wrangler, while not the most spacious, blends retro style and futuristic features, like available Nappa leather front seats with 12-way power adjustments, multiple USB ports, a standard 12-volt accessory outlet with an optional 115-volt AC outlet available. A 12.3-inch touchscreen featuring the Uconnect 5 system, with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto are standard, along with SiriusXM 360L and Pandora personalized stations.
