The Ranger Lariat is the top of the line that the Ford Ranger has to offer, and in 2025 that deal is increasingly hard to pass up. For 2025, Car and Driver reports that the Lariat starts at an MSRP of around $45,375. Of course, it’s not the only trim available in the Ford Ranger’s lineup this year, the XL comes in at an affordable $34,575, and the middle of the line XLT represents what might be the best value point of the lineup at $37,105.

As far as second opinions go, Car and Driver recommends the mid-range XLT, citing its attractive equipment offerings which include striking LED exterior lighting, the addition of 17-inch aluminum wheels, power folding side mirrors, and many more. These include LED exterior lighting, 17-inch aluminum wheels, a wireless smartphone charging pad, and a power outlet inside the truck bed.

The Lariat is by no means outgunned, however, as Ford added features like Dual-Zone Electronic Automatic Temperature Control, a feature that lets occupants set different temperatures for each side of the Ranger Lariat, Sync 4A, a feature allowing you to make calls, set a GPS, and listen to your own music via voice activated Sync technology (available on the XLT for a premium, but standard on the Lariat), and a custom Bang and Olufson soundsystem help even the playing field in the Lariat’s favor.
